Berry Dumpling Cobbler

Ingredients

2 (16 oz) packages frozen blackberries, peaches or cherries, ect.

2 cups sugar, divided

¼ cup butter

3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened

2/3 cups milk

2 ¼ cups all purpose baking mix (Bisquick has one)

¾ cups uncooked oat

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 3500 F
  2. Bring blackberries, 1 1/3 cups sugar, and butter to boil in a larg saucepan over medium heat, stirring gently until butter is melted and sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.
  3. Beat cream cheese
  4. Add remaining 2/3 cup sugar at medium speed until fluffy
  5. Add milk and beat until smooth
  6. Stir in baking mix and uncooked oats
  7. Spread 2/3’s of cream cheese mixture (about 3 cups) onto bottom of lightly greased 13x9 in baking dish
  8. Spoon blackberry mixture evenly over cream cheese mixture
  9. Dollop remaining cream cheese mixture evenly over blackberries
  10. Bake for 30 min or until golden brown
